Winter Garden Photography at VanDusen Botanical Gardens

VanDusen Botanical Gardens is putting on a Photography Workshop, “Winter Garden Photography” from 10:30am-4:30pm on February 9th.

The rate to attend the class is $72 (VBGA members) or $80 (non-members). The course includes free entrance to the Botanical Garden, and will be exploring photography in this environment.

Learn how to best capture the beauty winter has brought to VanDusen with your camera’s lens. The winter garden can offer a wide variety of photo opportunities including ice patterns, snow crystals, striking silhouettes, muted tones and dramatic lighting. We will discuss exposures for winter conditions, creating monochrome images, and spend plenty of time shooting outdoors. Class concludes with a feedback session to share and discuss some of our results.

Bring your camera with USB cable and empty memory card, a lunch, and dress for the weather.
